This house has spatial experience that excites the senses by promoting light open plan living with unusual terrace. 55 Blair Road has balancing between nature and contemporary living in a renovation of a heritage Art Deco style terrace. the important thing is bringing light into long plot. A large air well divides the two sections of the house allowing for maximum light to penetrate the living spaces. Aluminum wall cladding wraps around the void which bands reflect the light into the living spaces. The courtyard acts also can be the natural ventilation inside home. The intricate linear bands are the modern contrast but reflect the traditional ornate facade. the metallic architectural emphsized the unity between spaces. The subtle tones and metallic elements complement each other to create a common theme throughout the house.

the key concept to promote the relationship of outside and inside space is continuity of space. the first floor has flexible glazed walls that lead directly to the pool. the main section s separated by the out door pool and frangipani garden. the first floor becomes one large space when the both sides of the glazed partitions are open.

The house is laid out on an axis that almost acts as a line of symmetry. ONG&ONG Pte.Ltd designed the master bedrooms featured by suite bathroom that is contrast by the facade architectual. It is a glazed box that cantilevers over the pool area. it emphasized to the playful nature of the scheme. Internally there is a total contrast to the ornate facade.
